Welcome to The Big Buzz and Flutter!

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us in Archbishop’s Park, Lambeth this spring and to celebrate our wonderful birds, bees and butterflies! We hosted free fun days every weekend from 19th May to 10th June 2012, packed with activities and workshops for everyone to get involved with.

Part of the Chelsea Fringe 2012

Our event was part of this year’s Chelsea Fringe, and was the joint brainchild of the landscape architect Caroline Perget and garden designer Wendy Cartwright. The Chelsea Fringe Festival is a brand new initiative, entirely volunteer-run in its first year. It’s all about harnessing and spreading some of the excitement and energy that fizzes around gardens and gardening. The idea is to give people the freedom and opportunity to express themselves through the medium of plants and gardens, to open up possibilities and to allow full participation.

Watch This Space!

We’ve had a brilliant time! We’ve planted hedges, watched the bees in their hive, tasted honey, made some brilliant seed bombs and bird feeders, and learnt oodles about how we can help our struggling buzzy and fluttery friends! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves too, and who knows, maybe we’ll do it all again next year…..
